Development Update
MetraMarket update: The October 2009 edition of On the Bi-Level, Metra's monthly passenger newsletter, contains new information on Chicago French Market's vendors

The Sept 23 edition of Chicago Magazine's The Sun Also Rises provides a good update on plans for the former Powerhouse Space.

Some of you may recall a proposal a year or so ago to renovate the street level retail mall at Presidential Towers.  Delayed a number of months by the credit crisis, this project is back in action again.  We will post more specifics as they become available but here is a pdf (caution, 5mb file!) of the new plan.  Changes from the original proposal include two stories and the McDonalds expanding to be an anchor tenant.

  • Create content for our website and email blasts
  • Recruit new business, residential building and individual members
  • Fundraise
  • Start a professionals networking group
  • Liason between FRDA and Chicago Police CAPS/DAC

Please support the Erie Street Farmer's Market, located on Erie Street, just west of Kingsbury Street, immediately north of Erie Park.  The market is open every Sunday between 7 am and 3 pm through Sunday, October 25th.
